Japanese Kitkats - otona no amasa - matcha flavour

Hello, Foodies. Today we will try the last KitKat from "otona no amasa" edition - matcha flavour. What about chocolate wafers with very expensive, Japanese high quality powdered green tea? Check it out :)

Matcha is one of my favourite Japanese flavours. It has not too soft, a little bit tart and highly specific taste. You definitely have to try it to understand, and if you like green tea, you will like it for sure. What's more, matcha is easy to use in other ways: you can make matcha latte with milk, add it to cake, ice-cream, smoothie etc. You can add tea-like flavour to almost everything and make it vividly green without artificial pigments, yay!

So, how does the otona no amasa matcha KitKat stack up? Oh.my.god. Soft sweetness, perfect smooth texture, intense aftertaste. Milky chocolate with matcha sounds like perfection to me... and it is (well... almost).

By the way, making sweets with matcha must be a child's play... just don't destroy the perfection. <3

We have a winner of  the7th battle. It's unanimously otona matcha!

Hello, Veti here ;)

Matcha flavoured Kitkat has a deep, green tea colour. I'm not such a great tea lover like Wu. is but it's definitely perfect flavour for me.

When you open this Kitkat you can feel the smell is good. I tried the waffer and I felt intense, bitter tea mixed with chocolate flavour. The Kitkat was melty and soft inside. Tasting it was just very special experience for me. Unfortunately taste of matcha disapered too fast for me.

Otona no amasa matcha flavoured Kitkat has extraordinary taste just as I expected. That's why I give it umai! grade, 8 out of 10.
