Hello. This note was written around two weeks ago, but I'm not well organised so... ;) Today I have for you mango mousse version of Pocky. Thanks for Cinek, who bought it for me on "B.A.K.A", Polish anime fan convention. ^.^
Pocky - who haven't heard about this classic Japanese sweets? I wrote on classic flavours in this note. Well... but I haven't tried anything from "mousse" series. I'm glad Cinek was lucky and could buy mousse pocky in one of my favourite flavours - mango fruit. It's really promising. :)
Packaging
I love boxes. What's more when you open this one, you find cute, two striped foils. It's good solution for people, who don't want to eat everything at once.

Novelty/Appeal
Pocky is Pocky, and good mango is good. Sticks and mango haven't big popularity in Poland, what's more I love the idea of "mousse" series and also big amount of Pocky flavours. It'll be always something untypical for me. :)

Taste
When you open the foil, room becomes filled with sweet, mango-yoghurt smell. Yeah, I will recognize this smell everywhere, even without name on the box. :3 What about taste? Pure poetry. Thick layer made of subtle fruity and yoghurt coating with soft biscuit inside. I would eat them all time, unfortunately they aren't available in Poland. :( I have never eaten something so excellent before.

In Cinek's opinion sticks have better smell than taste. Well, maybe they are too subtle for demanding Cinek's tongue? ;) My friends from university didn't die after eating, so I think they like them xD But I feel I'm the only person here impressed by this product. Well, you should try personally and let me know what do you think ;)

ReplyDeleteA ja właśnie zakupiłem paczkę i mi nie smakują... Są zdecydowanie za słodkie a w tej słodyczy gdzieś zagubił się smak mango. Gdyby polewa miała wyraźniejszy smak, jak prawdziwe mango to by było OK. A jest to możliwe bo nie raz już Japończycy dowiedli, że znają się na produkcji słodyczy. Zjadłem 4 paluszki i już się przesłodziłem. Przetestuję więcej rano przy porannej kawie :-)

A mi nie smakowały :-) Za słodkie, ale pewnie dlatego, że one są raczej produkowane na rynek chiński a Chińczycy (uogólniając) lubią słodkie do przesady rzeczy.

A mi nie smakowały :-) Za słodkie. Ale też paluszki są produkowane na rynek chiński a Chińczycy lubią słodkie do bólu słodycze.
